Crossroads of the American Revolution - Editorial Illustrations
Since 2014, Joe Barsin of Citizen Pride has illustrated work for the growing series, “Meet Your Revolutionary Neighbors” for Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area
In time for JUNETEENTH 2020, Barsin just completed this illustration to shed light on PRIME, a slave who obtained his freedom by joining the Continental Army and becoming a wagoner. He was one of only three enslaved men freed by the New Jersey legislature in reward for serving in the military during the Revolution.
