Jug Bay Wetland's Sanctuary 40th Anniversary Poster reveal!
On Saturday, September 27, Jug Bay Wetland's Sanctuary celebrated their 40th Anniversary!
Joe Barsin of Citizen Pride illustrated a poster for the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks to commemorate the event. This is the fourth in a series for the parks.
Jug Bay Wetland's Sanctuary features extensive tidal freshwater wetlands that support important populations of freshwater marsh bird species. 🌲This protected land (1,700 acres!) also contains forested wetlands, upland and riparian forest, creeks, meadows, pine and sand barrens, and vernal pools. 🦆It provides a safe haven for a high diversity of plants, insects, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish and microbes.Â
VISIT JUG BAY!! Â
Walk and explore the nearly 17 miles of boardwalks along the marsh, watch the osprey dive for fish and enjoy the peaceful forest canopy. https://jugbay.org/
